BOSCH approved repair centre\u00a0<\/a><\/h3>\n

We are delighted to announce that Chris’s Cycles are now a BOSCH approved repair centre for all e bikes that use the Bosch mid-drive motor system, in addition to selling the excellent range of Gepida e bikes.<\/p>\n

This means that we are able to offer diagnostic and repair services for any bike which has the Bosch mid drive motor system installed, whether you bought the bike from us or not.<\/p>\n

Parts and Accessories<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We stock a wide range of selected parts and accessories for your bike, to enhance your cycling experience or add more comfort and practicality to your bike. All items can be fitted if required, but there may be additional charges for this depending on what is involved.<\/p>\n

Repairs, servicing and maintenance<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Buying a bicycle is only the start of it \u2013 to keep it in peak condition you need to maintain it regularly.<\/p>\n

Our service department is equipped to deal with all aspects of repair, service or maintenance; whether you just need a quick adjustment, a cable replaced, new brakes or tyres \u2013 the list is endless, but you can rest assured that all work carried out on your bicycle is not only very competitively priced, it is carried out by a cycle mechanic with over 40 years experience.<\/p>\n

All work is fully insured and you can choose how much you want to spend depending on the level of work required. Anything from a simple replacement of parts to a full-blown stripdown service is possible, and you can ask for a free estimate or quote before any work is carried out.<\/p>\n

You will be advised by the mechanic as to likely repair charges, but if you decide that you cannot warrant spending too much on an old bicycle, why not have a look at our fully serviced second hand bicycles? You can sometimes buy one of these for less than the cost of extensive repairs on your own bike.<\/p>\n

We try to keep turnaround times as quick as possible on repairs, but obviously this will depend on how many we have in at any one time. Our aim is to complete repairs within 2-3 days for minor or medium works, or within a week for bigger jobs. If it is a quick easy job we can very often do this while you wait.<\/p>\n

Payment is accepted by cash or card (sorry, no cheques) and should be made on collection of your bicycle.<\/p>\n

New bicycles<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We have in stock a selection of electric bikes VOLT and Gepida, as well as bicycles from Claud Butler, ranging from a small childs balance bike, through small bikes with 16\u201d\/18\u201d wheels and stabilisers, childrens bikes with 20\u201d\/24\u201d\/26\u201d wheels right up to adult Hybrid \/ Touring \/ Road bikes. If we do not have the bike you want in the required size, they can be ordered in on short deliveries (carriage charges may apply).<\/p>\n

These are not available on mail order as we prefer to sell properly assembled and checked bicycles for collection by the buyer. We can then be sure that the bicycle is safe for you to ride and we offer a free safety check \/ first service on it after 6-8 weeks of ownership to make any slight adjustments that may be necessary as things settle in.<\/p>\n

We feel this gives a better service than selling bikes in boxes, which you then have to either set up yourself or pay someone else to do it for you. The price we charge is competitive with the online \u2018boxed bike\u2019 sellers but is for a fully assembled and checked bicycle, giving you peace of mind that it safe to ride.<\/p>\n

Payment can be made by cash or card when you collect your bicycle (sorry, we are unable to accept cheques).<\/p>\n

Good\u00a0Choice Of\u00a0New, Used and 2nd Hand\u00a0Bikes In Stock<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2nd Hand\u00a0Bikes for sale\u00a0have been\u00a0stripped down to the bare frame, so everything can be checked \u2013 the bearings and bearing races, the integrity of the frame, function of all parts and if the frame is tatty, it is prepped and repainted.<\/p>\n

All parts are checked for usability and replaced if they are beyond help (chain, cables, tyres, bearings, brakes, grips, gear shifters, etc.), then the wheels are checked for true alignment and adjusted where necessary, with spokes replaced if needed and hubs stripped out to check bearings and axles.\u00a0 After everything is given a good clean the bike is reassembled with new grease in all of the bearings, then everything is adjusted to perform as it should.\u00a0 Once that is done the bike is test ridden and advertised for sale.<\/p>\n

A Note From Our Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whilst\u00a0our\u00a02nd hand\u00a0bikes may not be cosmetically perfect,\u00a0we can reassure you that when they leave here they will be mechanically sound and functional.\u00a0 All will have some signs of use in varying degrees, which will be reflected in the price you pay.\u00a0 They are not usually around for long at our prices, so you\u2019ll need to get in quick!<\/p>\n
